Challenges & Successes

Etsy listing #102!

Hi everyone!

So sorry it took me so long to get back here!

Last time I wrote, I'd issued myself a challenge to bring up my Etsy shop listings from 67 to 100 within a month. Though not exactly as planned in timing or otherwise, I’m still very pleased to say I now have 102! Yay me!

I also have to say, there was a time when I might have focused on the fact that I didn’t follow the precise criteria of the challenge. I’m happy to report, that time has passed! These days, life is full of challenges. Hurdles get placed along the path all the time. Being able to navigate the unexpected and be flexible enough to know when and how to alter the path to still make it to the finish line, can, and should, be taken as a huge success. I want to savour all of my successes no matter how small. I can reach faster and higher the next time…

So, today I sit here with tons more ideas floating around in my brain for new ways I can dare myself to go further. There are so many directions I can take it’s difficult to know which would be the most appropriate for the moment. I know I’ve spent time before spinning my wheels and feeling overwhelmed by the volume of possibilities. Maybe I’ll sit with it a bit longer! In fact, gathering the necessary information in order to make educated decisions takes time. Learning to see it as 'valuable time spent' as opposed to time wasted 'getting nothing done’ is a lesson I'm still working on!

I hope you’re all basking in your own successes or otherwise patting yourselves on the back for continuing to make an effort in the face of all of life’s challenges!

Happy Weekend!
Aimée

(I’d like to dedicate this entry to the memory of a dear and special man who unexpectedly passed away last month, and to my beautiful friend, his wife, and their children who are bravely meeting the challenges that every new day brings them. Much love, A)
